The AMC Loews at Lincoln Center held a special screening for Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightening Thief, on Thursday evening, February 4th, to a packed house. The highly anticipated feature stems from the Percy Jackson novel series, which are based off of Greek mythology. In the story, written by Rick Riordin, the 12 year old protagonist, Percy Jackson, is diagnosed with ADHD and Dyslexia. Eventually he discovers that he is the son of Zeus, and these learning disabilities are actually common amongst demi-gods or half-blods as they are called. Percy then embarks on a journey to find Zeus's lightening bolt in order to prevent a disastrous war amongst the gods. The movie brings to life and chronicles his adventures in a captivating tale of suspense and danger.
