PaceWildenstein hosts Opening and Afterparty of STERLING RUBY: 2TRAPS - Friday, 2/5/2010 8:15 PM

Sterling Ruby's newest work was presented in its first solo exhibition by PaceWildenstein (32 E.57th St. NYC, 10022, 212.421.3292) and The Standard on Thursday, February 4, 2010. 2TRAPS is an installation of two large scale sculptural works created over the past year in the artist's LA studio and will be on display at the gallery's 545 West 22nd Street location through March 20, 2010.



The work is the newest product of his progressive multi-disciplinary style that has incorporated glazed biomorphic ceramics, large-scale spray-paint canvasses, poured urethane sculptures, various forms of collage and video work in the past. The Los Angeles based artist has found homes in the world's most renowned galleries including The Museum of Contemporary Art in LA, The MOMA in New York, the Galleria d'art Moderna e Contemporanea in Bergamo, Italy, the Macro Future Museum in Rome, Saatchi Gallery in London, Ullens Center of Contemporary Art in Beijing and many others. He is also on display in many public collections throughout the United States.
