Launch of ART & CRAFT and Afterparty - Thursday, 2/18/2010 2:06 PM

Everyone knows that cupcakes go best with a tall glass of haute couture, and that is exactly what guests were treated to at the launch of Art & Craft on Wednesday February 18, 2010. Chambers Fine Art (522 W 19th St NYC 10011, 212.414.1169) was packed with 200+ fashionistas, press and select VIPs including Melissa Chu, Caroline Elizabeth Palmour, Bianca Pratt and Sumi Trenholme were treated to the debut of Sally Wu's collection, Act I, as they enjoyed baked goodies by NY's Tawny Ong Bakery and homemade gingerale from Spice Market. 22 looks later, the room was buzzing with adoration and excitement for the designer. Special thanks to Marcos Diaz of Ion Studios for the hair team for their contribution to creating the dramatic looks. As folks departed they were handed special gift bags courtesy of Chambers Fine Art.

Melissa Chu, Sally Wu, Caroline Elizabeth Palmour

Sally Wu was trained as a traditional calligrapher and painter. Before creating her fashion line, she worked with many leading designers and was actively involved in contemporary art, curating museum exhibitions and produced documentary films, which have each inspired her. Act I is sophisticated, timeless, wearable fashion.
