The FLAG Art Foundation celebrated the artists of Size Does Matter, curated by Shaquille O'Neal, on Tuesday evening. The exhibit explores the different ways that scale and relative size affect the perception of contemporary art. And what better way to explore this concept than with human giant, Shaq Diesel. At 320 pounds and a towering seven-foot, one inch frame, this gentle giant personifies the how size shapes perception. While a titan on the court, his post game charisma and relatively subdued nature is not only intriguing but surprising as well. This dynamic exhibition includes a variety of mediums in order to touch on the theme of size as an integral component in the composition of artwork. Every work in the show was hand picked by Shaq or was made at his request.
