The red carpet was rolled out Wednesday night for the premiere of the new M. Night Shyamala film, The Last Airbender, at Alice Tully Hall. The film, based on the Nickelodeon cartoon "Avatar, The Last Airbender," tells the story of the four nations; Air, Water, Earth and Fire whom are tied together by destiny. Fire Nation, however, launches a brutal war against the others. A century has passed with no hope in sight to change the path of this destruction. Caught between combat and courage, Aang (Noah Ringer) discovers he is the lone Avatar with the power to manipulate all four elements. Aang Teams with Katara (Nicole Peltz), a Waterbender, and her brother Sokka (Jackson Rathbone), to restore balance to their war-torn world. In attendance for the Premiere were Cliff Curtis, Dev Patel, Elizabeth Gilles, Noah Ringer, Seychelle Gabriel, Aasif Mandvi and Frieda Pinto.
