Even the most blase passerby will be delighted by the shimmering installation viewed only from the outside of the Roger Smith Hotel. Paris-based artist Anne Ferrer has created five brilliantly-colored, giant, hand-blown sculptures that breathe, billow, grow and evolve in slow motion to the lighter-than-air music of L.A.-based composer Carol Worthey.
Bravo both to freelance curator Ed Rubin and the LAb for their invitations to a versatile group of artists who transformed 47th St. and Lexington into a magical space.
In addition, the post-viewing was followed by a private dinner, highlighted by stimulating conversation, endless wine, pasta and salad.
