Socialite Jean Shafiroff and Luxury Home Decor Retailer Mackenzie-Childs,(Southampton location), hosted a packed kick-off event, Saturday evening , June 30th, for the July 21st Southampton Animal Shelter Foundation's 3rd Annual UNCONDITIONAL LOVE benefit. The event will honor Ellen & Chuck (NBC 4, News Anchor) Scarborough and be chaired by Jean Shafiroff at Sandra McConnell's Southampton home.

Notables at the pre-party included CNN Anchor correspondent Felicia Taylor, Martin Shafiroff, Lucia Hwong Gordon, Robin Cofer and Dawne Marie Grannum, amongst so many others. Representing the Shelter were the Shelter's founder and "ANGEL", Susan Allen,, Board President Jonathan McCann, Board Executive V.P. and former co-founder of ARF, Sony Schotland and Board member Joel Cooper. In addition, they will all serve as Vice-Chairmen for the Unconditional Love benefit. Sharon Kerr, NancyJane Loewy and, Raya Keis Knight, Vice-Chairmen for the July 21st event, were seen, along with husbands, Jeffrey Loewy and Cliff Knight.

The Saturday, July 21st event promises to be one of the most exciting and elegant benefits on the 2012 Summer Charity Circuit. With Allen & Company and Barclays serving as Honorary Corporate Chairs, the event will begin with cocktails at 7:00 PM, followed by a Robbins/Wolfe Eventeurs catered seated dinner. The renowned Alex Donner Orchestra will provide the music, promising to keep the dance floor elbow-to-elbow all evening.

An anonymous donor generously underwrote the entertainment. In addition. ASID, (American Society of Interior Designers, NY Metro Chapter), will present a one-of-a-kind dog house/dog bed and dog crate auction, created especially for the shelter and their Unconditional Love event.

The Southampton Animal Shelter Foundation is ranked among the top ten shelters in the country. In addition to providing adoption services, the shelter offers a low-cost spay/neuter clinic. The Training and Behavior Department evaluates each dog and develops individually tailored training based upon a dog's needs. Dog obedience classes, as well as dog play groups, are offered to the public. This past June 9th, the organization was bestowed with the honor of the 2012 SHELTER of the YEAR at Petfest's Pet Hero Awards Ceremony.
