Park Avenue Garage Sale - Wednesday, 11/20/2013 8:17 PM

It may have been a chilly night in Manhattan, but it was certainly a hot party uptown for the opening night celebration of Park Avenue Garage: The Ultimate Luxury “Pop-Up” Sale! The exclusive guest list was populated by everyone and anyone with style, taste and influence to revel in its luxurious four floors of haute artisanal fashion, beauty and home merchandise housed in the glamorous, uptown townhouse once owned by the Elizabeth Taylor. Needless to say, the walls were dripping with decadence.

This first night of the five day pop-up sale benefiting The Society of Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center had a bevy of co-hosts mixing about all four floors. You could find Chairman Hilary Dick alongside Jennifer Creel, Martha Glass and Valesca Guerrand Hermes chatting with friends and supporters at the Society Boutique: Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and Supporters’ Thrift Shop (Park Avenue Garage’s second floor); Alexandra Lebenthal perusing the elegant jewelry tucked in the first floor’s parlor room; Nina Griscom chatting with the third floor’s homeware and vintage fashion vendors; Douglas Hannant and friends enjoying Remodelista.com’s fourth floor Remodelista Market NYC and its showcase of unique items from New York artisans; or Frederick Anderson at the entrance, ushering everyone in arrival to Patrick McMullan’s “office” for their picture on the red carpet, and greeting such fellow as hosts Randi Schatz and Karen Klopp before they made their ascent into the one-of-a-kind shopping (and social) experience.

The event, located on 10 w. 56th street, between 5th and 6th avenue, is open daily from 11am-6pm through Nov. 23rd. And judging by last night’s excitement, go before it’s too late!
