Holly Peterson Book Party - Sunday, 4/6/2014 11:25 PM

Among a wealth of writers, influencers, family and friends, Holly Peterson, Author of New York Times Bestseller The Manny, and her father, Pete Peterson, presented her latest novel, The Idea of Him, at the storied Four Seasons Hotel.

“It was a three year battle with publishers, agents and manuscript rewrites,” said Ms. Peterson, looking as radiant as ever, to her guests of getting The Idea of Him off the ground, “But I knew what I wanted to tell, and with your help, I worked on it until it was right.”

“And I want to apologize to my father,” continued Ms. Peterson, “if I was a major pain in the ass while getting this done.” Mr. Peterson, sitting at her side in admiration, then called for the mic, sharing their loving banter, “Calling yourself a major pain in the ass is an understatement.”

Ms. Peterson carried on to directly thank the many people involved in helping The Idea of Him get published, namely David Kuhn, Becky Sweren, Tessa Woodward and everyone over at William Morrow, adding in jest, “And I even want to thank my brothers, who didn’t help at all.”

Holly Peterson’s latest is a tale of, “conspiracy, intrigue, and intense passion,” winding the reader through the elusive world of New York power marriages and the betrayals behind its façade. Published through HarperCollins, it’s now available for purchase, and is the perfect weekend read.

Among those in the room supporting Ms. Peterson included George Stephanopoulos, David & Sherrie Rollins Westin, Liz Smith, Richard Johnson, Barbara Walters, Peter Brown, Richard Cohen, Andrew & Ann Tisch, Bob Weinstein, Julian Niccolini, Countess LuAnn de Lesseps along with her immediate family.
