Vanity Fair Celebrates the 13th Annual TriBeca Film Festival - Thursday, 4/24/2014 9:56 PM

It’s not too often you can say a slew of stars enjoyed themselves in a courthouse, but that’s what happened Wednesday night among the iconic pillars of New York State Supreme Court for Vanity Fair Celebrates the 13th Annual TriBeca Film Festival. Hosted by TriBeca Film Festival Co-Founder Robert De Niro, Vanity Fair editor Graydon Carter and Ronald Perelman, many of today’s hottest young starlettes, legends and moguls schmoozed the night away with Mayor Bill De Blasio in honor of New York’s most celebrated film festival.

Although ascending the stairs in the most graceful fashion (and fashions), everyone battled the chilly winds in keeping both warm and their hair in place for Mr. McMullan’s must-have arrival shots. With that, guests made the wise decision of nestling inside the courthouse, which imbued a playfully jovial spirit into the annual affair.

The much adored – and very much missed on the silver screen – Mike Myers came in classic form, making everyone laugh with his fun poses and boyish antics – even staging a faux blow-out with a paparazzi as a shocked McMullan hams it up from behind.

The in-demand, and glowing, Lake Bell mixed about the room with her handsome husband, Scott Campbell, alongside; showing off her baby bump in a sexy, form hugging burgundy one-piece. Sibling powerhouse producers, Bob and Harvey Weinstein made headway about the crowd, surely spearheading power moves they’re reputed for. But with all that starpower sweetening the air, it was New York’s newly elected Mayor, Bill De Blasio, who made the biggest splash.

Arriving, wisely, once the evening was in full swing, Mayor De Blasio instantly became the night’s focus. Everyone clamored for a handshake, photo and a few words, welcoming Gotham’s newest figure head into the cinema society. Even Governor Andrew Cuomo stepped in for quick photo-op while taking the opportunity to exchange a few whispers between both leaders.

Others decorating Vanity Fair’s TriBeca Film Festival celebration were Christy Turlington-Burns and husband Ed Burns, Ron Howard, Christine Baranski, Tory Burch, Courteney Cox and boyfriend Johnny McDaid, Kate Walsh, John McEnroe, Charlie Rose, Jared Kushner, Commissioner Ray Kelly, Eric Schmidt, Amy Fine Collins, Michael K. Williams, Sandra Bernhard, Katie Nehra, America Ferrera, and, De Niro’s beautiful wife Grace Hightower.

With a guest list like that, it’s interesting to wonder what selections screening next year were born tonight.
