It was a great day to turn 100 Thursday night for 200 Fifth Ave. The historic building has seen wars, a depression, a bunch of Championships and Plaxico. But overall it's been a great hundred years, and guests came out to celebrate with a cake made in it's likeness and the opportunity to preview the spectacular $135 million historic restoration. L& L Holding Company’s brilliantly transformed office building, situated directly across from Madison Square Park, has already won a handful of design honors, including the prestigious AIA New York Chapter 2010 Architect Merit Award.
David Levinson, Robert LapidusIn addition, the building, the former International Toy Center, is today one of the most prestigious office destinations in the city. FFAWN (Foundation for the Advancement of Women Now). The

On Monday night, some of medias most influential forces came together to celebrate the best on the web. The Webby is the leading international award honoring excellence on the internet. Established in 1996 in the days of dial up, the
Webbys are presented by The
International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences. The Awards present two awards for every category - The Webby Award and The People's Choice Award- and this year, the winners gave thanks with 5 -word acceptance speech like "Wall Street: What f---ing thieves." --- Robert Scheer (Best Political Blog-- Webby). Another award went to ChatRoulette.com for Webby Breakout of the Year, which while deserving, exposed a very interesting result when someone takes video chat and televises it at random for strangers across the world.
