The total onslaught of social networking has taken our society by storm and completely changed the way we interact. At first I thought it was all innocent fun. I get the purpose of Twitter and do see how it is both intriguing and relevant for many reasons. But I’ve started to wonder if people are taking it all a bit too far.

One of my good friends summed it up very well recently. Simply put:- “Over-sharing is the new black.” It is one thing when people share exciting news, write an opinion or statement that they want others to know or post something interesting for their networks and followers to read. ... Read More

When I heard that the film Valentino: The Last Emperor was finally being released, I was uber excited! Unfortunately, I was not one of the lucky few who got to see it during the trés chic screening hosted by Gilt Groupe and Quintessentially on St. Patrick’s Day. I had finally gotten completely sick of the hat, scarf and glove daily routine. It had been a LONG and FREEZING winter! Shadow or no shadow, I was over the Groundhog and every other depressing weather report

I have a tendency to go into what I like to call “winter hibernation mode.” Here, I look forward to staying-in on weekends, ordering Thai food from Spice, watching DVDs, eating Sour Patch Kids and passing-out on the couch, because the idea of motivating to go outside when the temperature is always below 25 degrees sounds dreadful! But enough was enough already

I had officially become in denial that it was still winter and began taking steps towards summoning spring, even though it was only the beginning of March:

I began to wear my favorite white Boston bag, one that really should be reserved for after Memorial Day and even had ... Read More

It's a Blonde, Blonde, World

A friend of mine recently asked if she could set me up with a guy that she knew. Since I’m never one to say no to meeting new people and I trusted her judgement, I agreed and figured, what the hell, nothing to loose. She told me a bit about him; he seemed intelligent, normal (probably the hardest quality to come by in a man in NYC) and we apparently had some similar interests. He was already gaining points and I had yet to meet or even see him for that matter. A few days went by and she asked if ... Read More
