On Thursday, December 10th, Kiehl's Since 1851 president Chris Salgardo, honored KAWS (a.k.a. Brian Donnelly) and RxArt with a special holiday celebration. The event, was held to recognize Peace. Love. Kiehl's., which is a charitable holiday program with art designed by KAWS to Benefit RxArt. The non-profit, RxArt, was founded by Diane Brown and is committed to fostering artistic expression and awareness through engaging young patients in pediatric hospitals with contemporary art as a way to express themselves. Guests in attendance were Robert Verdi, Richi Rich, Caroline Ventura, Demetre Daskalakis, Michelle Massaro ans Neel Shah.

On Thursday, December 10th, SculptureCenter held their annual benefit gala in Long Island City. This year's rock 'n roll themed gala was co-chaired by Marian Goodman, Kim Gordon, Thurston Moore, Jemilah Afshar and Sacha Bauer. The annual event honors artists who exemplify the center's core values of artistic excellence, experimentation and expanding the range of art & culture. This year's gala honored Dan Graham and was attended by over two hundred of his peers and admirers from both the art and music industries. In attendance were Sylvia Chivaratando, Philipe Vergne, Mary Ceruti, Michael Smith and Maureen Sullivan.

On Wednesday, December 9th, Alex Kramer and Daniel Baker celebrated the life and work of artist Manuel Pardo. Pardo, the Cuban-born painter who left for New York in 1962 in order to pursue a better life, spent three years in foster care before his mother was able to join him in the states. Upon arrival, Manuel's mother, who was a medical professional in Cuba, worked in a factory sixteen hours a day for twenty years in order to give him a good life. Her strength has been his inspiration, and much of his work is of her, depicted as an impeccably dressed beautiful woman, living the life that she always wanted. His art, which is his shrine to his mother, has been featured in numerous art magazines and displayed in The New Museum and The Pilzer Gallery in Paris. The Chelsea Art Museum welcomed a vibrant crowd on Tuesday evening, December 8th, for the Second Annual FEED-Raiser & Market. The event helped raise money and awareness to support the FEED Foundation and other organizations that provide food and opportunities for social and financial growth in developing countries and underprivileged communities. The organizations involved with the event make it possible for families all over the globe to live happier and more independent lives.

Breguet and The Wall Street Journal hosted an intimate dinner on Tuesday evening, December 8th, to showcase Breguet's exceptional collection of time pieces at Tourbillon. The event featured Jean-Marc Bories (President of Breguet North America) and Michael Clerizo's (writer for The Wall Street Journal and author of Masters of Contemporary Watchmaking) reflections and remarks on Abraham Louis Breguet the man, the watchmaking industry in his time, his innovations and the renaissance of the mechanical handmade watch. On Monday, December 7th, the Food Allergy Initiative (FAI) held their 12th annual Food Allergy Ball at the Waldorf Astoria. This year's event honored Charles A. Koppelman (Executive Chairman of Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia), and Emeril Lagasse (acclaimed chef and TV personality) received the FAI Lifetime Achievement Award.

FAI, which is a national non-profit organization dedicated to finding a cure for food allergies which affect over 12 million Americans. Since its inception in 1998, the

Toys For Tots Spreading Christmas Joy

On Sunday, December 6th, around 2,400 people gathered at Chealsea Piers for Toys for Tots, including Stefania Hernandez (Miss Universe) and Kristen Dalton (Miss USA), whom helped put many of the ten thousand gifts received under the Christmas tree. The event, hosted by Robby Browne, Chris Kann and David Tufts, also featured Doris Roberts (of Remington Steele and Everybody Loves Raymond), whom graciously welcomed and greeted many of the guests. Her enthusiasm for the cause and the holiday season was palpable amongst all who were there. In the end, the Toys for Tots event on sunday raised over $14,000. Other Guests in attendance were Celia Ammerman, Alex Bernstock, Brian Pryzbylski, Allessandro Uddin, Benjamin Brissi, Daniel Cohen, Chris Binet and Derek Hester.

On Thursday, December 3rd, the Ballet Hispanico Junior Society held their annual holiday benefit at The Gates. All proceeds from the event go to benefit the Ballet Primeros Pasos Arts Education program, which provides residency programs for underprivileged children in the New York City public school system. The program also teaches the importance of the arts and it's role in Latino cultures. Guests in attendance included Mamie Gummer, Andy Unanue, David Foote, Grace Gummer, James Cruickshank, Ann Dexter Jones and Jessie Della Famina.

On Thursday, December 3rd, the Tribeca Film Institute held their annual fall benefit with a screening of the film Everybody's Fine, starring Robert De Niro, Drew Barrymore, Kate Beckinsale and Sam Rockwell. The Dinner, which supports the year-round initiatives that provide support and professional opportunities for filmmakers as well as youth film enrichment and educational programs, was held at the historic Tavern On the Green.

On Tuesday, December 1st, Clé de Peau Beauté, color creator Lucia Pieroni, Paola Pieroni and Heidi Manheimer (CEO of Shiseido Cosmetics America) hosted a cocktail reception at Ze Café to celebrate the launch of Lucia's 2010 color collection and the photographic exhibition "Roses" by Paola, Lucia's sister and inspiration. Prints that are sold will benefit More Gardens, a group of gardeners and activists whom promote the development and preservation of community gardens. On Tuesday, December 1st, the Museum of the Moving Image (MMI) held their annual black-tie gala. The gala, in it's 25th year, saluted Clint Eastwood with a screening of his new movie Invictus at the Paris Theater and subsequent after party at 583 Park Avenue. Dinner chairs included Matt Damon, Morgan Freeman, Alan Horn and Robert Lorenz. The highlight of the evening occurred when Eastwood's friends and colleagues presented a screening of excerpts from the many projects he has had his hands on over the years.

Devi Kroell celebrated the opening of her New York City flagship store on Tuesday evening, December 1st, with a cocktail party. The Austrian-born, NYC based designer of ready-to-wear dresses, handbags, shoes and belts showcases signature styles that accommodate a variety of different backdrops and tastes. Devi's ability to create such dynamic pieces stem from her influences in Asian art and a diverse childhood spent in a number of different countries including Indonesia, the Philippines, Singapore and Switzerland. Her store, which is the second to open in two weeks, follows her Las Vegas opening at the Forum Shops at Caeser's Palace.
