The Tibet House held their 20th Annual Benefit Concert at Carnegie Hall on Friday evening. The benefit repeatedly offers audiences a mix of unprecedented musical collaborations and solo performances featuring up and coming talent along with legends in the music industry. This year proved to be no exception with perfomances by Iggy Pop, Patti Smith and Gogol Bordello just to name a few. Tibet House US aims to preserve Tibetan culture by serving as a cultural center in New York City and an online global resource for those interested in Tibetan culture. The house was founded at the request of His Holiness the Dali Lama, who at the inauguration in 1987 state his wish for a long-term culture institution to ensure the survival of Tibetan Civilization and culture. The concept of the issue and event, hosted by Jenna Lyons, was to recognize and celebrate some of the women who inspire so many everyday. J.Crew handpicked the nine women whom are friends and acquaintances whose style and creativity provides a supreme example of beauty through originality and elegant confidence. The New York Foundation for the Arts honored Yun-Fei Ji and Anita Durst at a benefit Thursday evening, at James Cohan Gallery. Yun-Fei Ji, who has been awarded a litany of grants and fellowships over the years including the NYFA Fellowship in Printmaking and also received the Rome Prize from the American Academy in Rome. Anita Durst is the founding artistic director of chashama, which has converted more than 40 locations, giving 7,500 artists access to subsidized space, which supported approximately 10,000 public presentations for over 500,000 viewers. The benefit is NYFA's most important fundraising event of the year and was held at the James Cohan Gallery in Chelsea during an exhibition of Yun-Fei's work. Hedge Funds Care Hosts 12th Annual Benefit

Hedge Funds Care, a global non-profit organization which raises funds and awareness with in the hedge fund industry for programs that work to prevent and treat child abuse, hosted their 12th annual New York Open Your Heart to The Children Benefit, Thursday evening at Cipriani 42. Since the first benefit in 1998, they have awarded over 600 grants totaling $21 million, and last years benefit raised $1.3 million that went to support 30 grants in New York City, Westchester, Connecticut and New Jersey. Dean C. Backer, Managing Director, Goldman Sachs, stated, "We view the work of Hedge Funds Care as extraordinarily vital, and we encourage our peers throughout the financial community to continue to support the hedge fund industry's efforts to positively impact the lives of others."

The Cinema Society hosted a premiere of the new Matt Damon film, Green Zone, at the AMC Loews Lincoln Square and the after party at Nobu 57. The Universal Pictures and Working Title feature, directed by Paul Greengrass ( The Bourne Supremacy and The Bourne Ultimatum) depicts the story of one soldier risking his life to uncover a conspiracy that extends throughout an unstable country on the brink of war. Hello! Skinny Jeans celebrated the launch of their two new jean lines: Stellar & Green Jeans, Wednesday evening at the Juliet Supper Club. For those of you who are not familiar with Hello! Skinny Jeans, you are probably familiar with the concept of the skinny jean. If you are still drawing a blank go to Williamsburg and just open your eyes. What you'll notice is that the traditional skinny jean is about as flattering as open boils on the majority of women, giving most of them the shape of a bowling pin, by widening the hips and thighs. The CW celebrated the launch of two new reality shows, Tuesday evening at Simyone Lounge. The first is High Society, starring Park Avenue superstar Tinsley Mortimer along with Dabney Mercer, Dale Mercer, Alexandra Osipow and Paul Johnson Calderon. The show follows the group to some of New York's most prestigious black-tie events, outrageous parties and fashion exclusives. The next show, Fly Girls, follows five beautiful Virgin America flight attendants as they jet from one glamorous location to the next, including Las Vegas, South Beach and NYC. Las Vegas actually is that glamorous, regardless, the show follows the group as they pursue good times, great parties, adventure, and "love." High Society premieres march 10th and Fly Girls on March 24th. Get ready people! This is really happening!

The Directors Council of the Museum of the City of New York welcomed guests Tuesday evening for a black tie affair at their 25th annual Winter Ball. Guests were treated to cocktails, dinner and a chance to get loose on the dance floor. Tuesday evening marked the 30th anniversary of the Central Park Conservancy, and brought together over 350 of it's supporters, made up of past and present trustees, city leadership and major donors. The event, at Loeb Central Park Boathouse, will honor Founding Trustee and Lead Benefactor, Richard Gilder, and all benefits will go to maintain and preserve the Central Park. The Central Park Conservancy is a private, not-for-profit organization that was founded in 1980 under a contract with the City of New York/Department of Parks and Recreation. Since its inception it has raised over $500 million and provides more than 85% of Central Park's annual $26,000 operating budget.

On Friday evening, Guerlain sponsored the premiere of McDermott & McGough's short film, Mean To Me, at The Bowery Hotel. The thirteen minute short, a 1930's period piece, chronicles the end of an affair in which a kept women (played by British supermodel Agyness Deyn) discovers that her lover (Played by Linus Roache), is about to marry a wealthy heiress in order to "stay afloat" during the depression. The film was a collaborative effort between a number of different people and organizations, with Zac Posen providing gowns from his archive, Mikimoto providing pearls and make-up artist Nick Barose recreating a period visage using products provided exclusively by Guerlain. The Cinema Society and Screenvision celebrated the premiere of Roman Polanksi's The Ghost Writer, Thursday evening at the Crosby St. Hotel. The film, an adaptation of Robert Harris' Thriller novel about a British Prime Minister and the turmoil around him, stars Pierce Brosnan as the Prime Minister and Ewan McGregor as a scribe called upon to help finish his Prime Minister's memoirs after the previous ghost writer dies under questionable circumstances. Narciso Rodriguez, the only son of Cuban immigrants who grew up in Newark, celebrated the release of his Fall 2010 collection at the Boom Boom Room Tuesday evening. When looking over his start in the fashion industry it is not difficult to understand how Rodriguez found himself in the position he is today. After finishing at Parsons the New School for Design and doing freelance for a stretch, Rodriguez joined Ann Klein as Women's Design Director under Donna Karan. The Cinema Society hosted a screening for Happy Tears at the MoMA, Tuesday evening, with a subsequent after party at Mr. Chow. The premiere, sponsored by Donna Karan, welcomed guests on the red carpet and led them to the screening room. The movie told the story of two sisters returning to the house of their childhood. The older sister Demi Moore wants to put her father Rip Torn into an "old people's warehouse" as she refers to it. While Parker Posey insists it is not necessary. Bianca Farrah Kawecki, chairperson of the Young Patrons Circle of the New York City Opera, hosted a spring shopping preview and reception at the City Opera Thrift Shop, Tuesday evening. The event was held to celebrate and welcome the New york City Opera's new membership group, the Young Patrons Circle. The Young Patrons are a group music lovers in their twenties and thirties whom share their enthusiasm for the opera with their peers and bring the art form to others who otherwise might not be informed to the full extent of the art. Also, their membership dues go to support the company's award-winning education and outreach programs. Guests were able to preview the City Opera Thrift Shop's newest spring merchandise while enjoying Bear Flag Wines provided by Hunter PR.

The Baryshnikov Arts Center (BAC) celebrated the grand opening of The Jerome Robbins Theater, on the evening of Tuesday the 16th, with a champagne toast, followed by a number of performances, and then a seated dinner. The Baryshnikov Arts Center was established in 2005 to house the core activities of the Baryshnikov Dance Foundation, and has since proven to be a significant cultural and creative center for New Yorkers; presenting contemporary and innovative works at low or no cost to the public.
