The Alliance for the Arts Annual Friends of the Arts Party 2009, proved to be a wonderfully insightful evening. On Friday the 13th, Christie's opened its first floor galleries in celebration of Latin American Art.
The Friends Party began in 2003 as a way to support the Alliance's work as a leader in arts advocacy and to engage artists, policymakers and patrons in conversations about the arts. This year, the
Friends of the Arts Party incorporated the artwork of KiptonArt artists in its display, providing for fuller, richer program.
Before becoming completely engrossed in Uruguayan artist
Ignacio Iturria's

Second Time Around Storefront
Looks like the Second Time Around is going to be a charm--an Upper East Side charm that is. On Tuesday, November 3rd, Alex McCord of the Real Housewives of New York City and Gotham Magazine celebrated the launch of the new location (1040 Lexington Avenue, NYC).

Retail Goes Upscale is what the invite read and the newly opened 74th and Lexington location brimmed-over with happy new shoppers. While guests sipped on sparkling white by
VOGA and nibbled on tiny bite sized cupcakes from
Baked by Melissa, the cameras flashed.

Alex McCord modeled two very different designer looks for attendees, each by
Christian Dior. The real power ensemble was a lime green silk jacket, over a cream silk shift --a testament to the amazing finds to be had at the Boston-based retailer.

The Stingers Band.
Electricity was in the air the moment that guests whisked their way through the lobby of the
Waldorf=Astoria and entered the East Foyer. A grand step and repeat was visited by the likes of
Brooke Shields and
Princess Yasmin Aga Khan. Other notables attending the evening included
Regis and
Joy Philbin,
David Hyde Pierce and
Brian Hargrove,
