The second, eponymously-named, Crystal Castles record is amazing. The duo, who hail from the great city of Toronto, have taken their music to another level. This mixture of pop, electro, goth and just plain noise is a perfect soundtrack for 2011, even though it was recorded in 2010. My favorite tracks, "Empathy" "Vietnam" and "Intimate", are danceable, yet chill enough for a lazy Sunday afternoon. While most bands today sound like rip-offs of other eras, "Crystal Castles" keeps it original. Score one for the music scene of TO. I'm digging on this piece of playable vinyl and I highly recommend that you check it out.
