New Yorkers at the Soho House: In-House and FilmAid Premiere "An Englishman in New York"

On December 1st a VIP Screening of "An Englishman in New York" invited some of NY's favorite Englishmen to enjoy the festivities. Quentin Crisp famously declared that if one could live on "peanuts and champagne," then one could survive quite easily by attending every cocktail party and premiere to which one was invited. To be sure, there was far more than "peanuts and champagne" at the intimate dinner/screening for Crisp's new made-for-television biopic "An Englishman in New York". Yet, the atmosphere of the Soho House's main dining room remained giddy with the spirit of the famed raconteur.

This year's Rita Hayworth Ball - "So Near & Yet so Far" - may have boasted performances by Roger Waters and The Pointer Sisters, but its post- fête at Leviev was all about the Gala's honorees - and, of course, the jewels.

When an event raises $1.9 million in one evening, what is there not to celebrate? On Monday, November 16th, an intimate group of friends that included Somers Farkas, Felicia Taylor, Rachel Hovnanian, Kim Hicks, Janna Bullock and Peter Lyden gathered at the Madison Avenue flagship to toast the Gala's chairs and honorees who spearheaded one of the season's most successful and glamorous evenings.
