Showtime welcomed nurses, nursing students and those representing some amazing charities to compete in the epic spectacle of medical mastery. With exciting events, thrilling feats of skill and a few carefully placed gurney's, the teams faced of in the first ever Rx Games. The purpose of the games was to create a fun competition that was both entertaining and recognized all those in the nursing community around New York City. The teams consisted of four people plus a back up, and first place prize was $10,000 for the team and $50,000 for their chosen charity. Guests in attendance included Edie Falco, Peter Facinelli, Matthew Blank, Arjun Gupta, Dominic Fumusa, Lenny Jacobson and Linda Wallem.

On Thursday The New York City Opera welcomed New York's elite to the spring gala at David H. Koch Theater. The gala marks the beginning of the spring season and this year featured a production of Emmanuel Chabrier's L'Etolle followed by a grand evening on the Promenade of the David H. Koch Theater and dancing to waltzes played by the NYC Opera Orchestra. The Spring season will feture L'Etolle, Puccini's Madama Butterfly and Handel's Partenope. Guests included Robert Verdi, Tim Taylor, George Steel, Bobby Flay, Stephanie March, Ann Bass and Susan Baker.
