The annual Best Buddies Gala is not until August 21st but, in reality, that date will be here before we know it. So, what better way to build buzz for the event than with a kickoff party, food courtesy of Phillipe Chow?

Last Friday, Unik, Jay Norris and Frank Cilione kicked off the Hamptons Social Summer Series at East Hampton's Lily Pond. The Social Series will continue throughout the summer and, each week, will benefit a different organization. The inaugural event honored Best Buddies and two of its board members, Tatiana and Campion Platt.

Guests were escorted through the kitchen to the outdoor tiki-esque patio and bar for cocktails served in long vase-like glasses. That caused a little confusion among the wine and champagne drinkers, but no matter. Everyone was merely happy to have made it out East on time, and in one piece.
