Ke$ha played a concert this morning on the Today Show and I have to ask, what better way is there to wake up in the morning, than with Ke$ha? She's gorgeous, grungy and glamorizes getting drunk and waking up in unfamiliar places, like maybe in Greenpoint next to me! She doesn't try to woo us with complex dance routines or costumes with machine gun bras (GAGA!), but rather, she simplifies her approach and focuses on the root of what music is really about. Chicks who love to party! I like to party, who doesn't? And the most promising aspect of the concert was the fact that the audience was filled with a bunch of little teenagers. Now before you call me creepy, which I only kind of am, you have to think, well that's the next generation of little partiers. At least they're learning from the best. She is passing ... Read More

Guests came out to the MoMA last night for the premiere of Oscilloscope Laboratories' ground breaking documentary, A Film Unfinsihed. A Film Unfinished begins with archival footage of daily life in 1942 among the Jewish population of the doomed Warsaw ghetto. That footage, discovered in an East German archive at the end of World War II, had been recorded by Nazi filmmakers who were as obsessive in their cinematic ambitions as in their killing. But as director Yael Hernsonski explains with dignified authority in her profound and vital documentary, those scenes of ''real life,'' once prized by historians, weren't so real. A missing reel, discovered in 1998, demonstrates the degree to which the Nazis manipulated the ''nonfiction'' they photographed, ordering residents to play roles in twisted scenarios staged to dramatize caricatured notions of the imprisoned residents, including the disregard of wealthy ghetto Jews for the wretched and starving. ... On Monday night at the MoMA and Michael's in New York guests came together for the premiere of The Weinstein Company's The Tillman Story. When Pat Tillman gave up his professional football career to join the Army Rangers in 2002, he became an instant symbol of patriotic fervor and unflinching duty. But the truth about Pat Tillman is far more complex, and ultimately far more heroic, than the caricature. And when the government tried to turn his death into propaganda, they took on the wrong family. From her home in Northern California, Pat’s mother, Dannie Tillman, led the family’s crusade to reveal the truth beneath the mythology of their son’s life and death. THE TILLMAN STORY resounds with emotion and insight, and goes beyond an indictment of the government to touch on themes as timeless as the notion of heroism itself. In attendance were Amir Bar-lev, John Battsek, ... Read More

Intermix "Turned it Up" last night at Skylight West with a live performance by Locksley and Deluka. Dreams of opening a store where shoppers could browse all of fashion’s high-end spectrum in one place led brothers Khajak and Haro Keledjian to open Intermix in 1993. Since then, its huge success has spurred four more New York locations from the West Village to the Upper East Side. As its name suggests, Intermix provides a wide-range of the latest European and American fashion styles with smaller fashion-forward labels like LaRok, Mint, and Ya Ya hanging on the rack next to some of the industry’s biggest names—Chloe, DVF, and Michael Kors. The stock ranges from bags and boots to denim and dresses but since the stores are relatively small the selection within each label (or trend) runs shallow, so grab it while you can. Katrina Bowden

It's like if someone, somehow Eva Mendes into, my girlfriend Eva Mendes. Almost that good. I mean, how on earth would someone be able to get John McClane, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Captian Ivan Drago (The Russian from Rocky IV who dashed America's dreams by killing Apollo Creed, only to later singlehandedly lose the cold war by getting thrashed by Rocky ), Randy Couture, The good ninja from Romeo Must Die, Rocky/Rambo/Cobra, The Transporter, The Old Spice Guy and Bukowski/Chinaski from Barfly?
