Nearly two years ago, I phoned Michael Musto and asked him if I could be his date when “West Side Story” had its Broadway revival. At the time, he laughed that I was putting in my request so early because he hadn’t even heard about a “WWS” revival. However, the more he thought about it, the more he agreed that it was a good idea. He could think of at least one other person who might be interested and might ask, so I had circumvented that sticky situation.
